Private & Corporate Classes

Jo offers private classes for individuals, couples and groups, either face-to-face, in your space (home, special location or workplace), or via Zoom.

Jo teaches individuals, couples and private groups – as well as corporate sessions in workplaces – with classes tailored to suit all participants.

There are many reasons Jo is engaged to teach private classes. If you’re time poor or have family commitments that make it difficult to regularly attend public classes, this option enables consistent practice at a time and location to suit you.

For those with health/mobility considerations that may not be easily catered for in public group classes, private sessions with Jo ensure the focus is entirely on supporting you to develop a practice that is unique, safe and healthy for you.

In corporate group classes, Jo ensures everyone can participate and benefit from the practice, whether or not they’ve tried yoga before. Classes may be Hatha, Flow, Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative or Chair Yoga and she can guide Yoga Nidra in a shorter form, as the final, deep relaxation for your yoga class, or as a longer stand-alone practice.

Perhaps there’s something particular you’d like to work on one-to-one, or you’d like a few private classes to start you on your yoga journey (and build your confidence to attend public classes). You might have a group of friends or colleagues, keen to practise yoga together at a time and place that suits you. Maybe you’re looking to incorporate one or more yoga classes as part of a professional development or wellness plan.

Whatever your motivation, you’re welcome to contact Jo to discuss how she can assist.

We had never tried yoga before. It had been suggested to Jon, who suffers from a medical condition, that yoga would help him with balance, strength and flexibility. So when the COVID lockdown commenced back in March 2020, we turned to our friend Jo for online yoga classes, which we could do from the comfort of our deck.

Jo’s style of teaching yoga is really suited to our needs, taking into account our physical limitations (Yvonne has rotator cuff issues with her shoulder) and suggesting work-arounds that allow us to still achieve the poses.

In a typical year, Jon usually manages to strain muscles in his back at least once. Even though we’ve been carrying out renovations and doing much more bending, stretching and twisting than we would ordinarily, since starting yoga with Jo, Jon has had no issues with his back and Yvonne has benefitted greatly from improved flexibility, allowing her to ably assist.

We’d highly recommend Jo to anyone who is looking for a yoga teacher. She has scheduled Zoom classes at a time to suit our availability as we both work full time. Jo challenges us to achieve poses, but is always mindful of our physical issues. Always friendly and cheerful, it is a pleasure to join Jo for yoga on our deck every week.
